The car drives fine and I have followed the maintenance schedule, but have I done any real harm? How could I check and see if it's worth keeping? I'm usually the type of person that even treats rental cars well, but with this car I just didn't think it was worth it since we weren't going to keep it.

Unless Audi states an absolute minimum octane you're fine.
