you can get a CLS550 4matic (thats actually a $2500 option) pretty much fully loaded for $80K and a similar 650xi would cost $95K. I am assuming the new gran coupe will cost the same or even more than the 650xi.
performance wise the CLS550 outperforms the 650 too (CLS does 0-60 in 4.2 seconds!). I am curious what owners think and if you have driven both, I am considering one of these for my next car if the M3/4 gets too close in price to them. |
BMW moved the 6 series upclass, so you will have to compare it to the CL class for the 2door comparison. However, with the new 6er Gran Coupe, which is the 4 door that aligns with the coupelike sedan style of the CLS, again you cannot compare as MB does not have a comparable model, the competion would be the Panamera (in BMWs mind). The price of the GC will again be more that even the normal 6 series as its again larger and wider, very close to a 7er.
You will have to wait for the 4 series Gran Coupe to come out to have a comparable car to the CLS in terms of price and size
