My '72 2002tii came to me in-trade on an E12 in 1978. I helped my future wife find her first 2002 in 1978 when she graduated from college. We bought our first 1600 Cabriolet on our honeymoon in 1981. We still have all of these. I recently celebrated 50-years since my first BMW purchase, a BMW R50/5 in May 1971. I still own two /5s but not the original one.
