I for one, don't care much about them. But when the Canadian Space & Aviation Museum announced the limited issue of the AVRO Arrow Anniversary watch, I just had to get one in memory of my father. He would have liked it.
I'm an Air Force Brat. My dad was a fighter pilot and my mom was a military nurse. And I remember vividly as a kid when the Arrow project was cancelled, my dad was not a happy camper. His squadron would have been the first to received them. Instead, the Government of the time decided to spend money on BOMARC missiles ( They didn't even work) and when that little project failed, they bought used VOODOOs from the USAF. He flew them reluctantly until his retirement. But I digress...
The watch has a Seiko Kinetic AGS movement. I replaced the cheesy plastic strap with a nice leather one.
