haha I just noticed this health fitness section on this forum! I agree with coffee but add that pre workout should only be used when required, to act only as a lift or spike but not necessarily any lasting effect for a workout. We would be better off ensuring we eat sufficient cals sometime prior to workout to sustain a longer and more intense workout.
