The two chassis should ride the same as they used the exact same suspension components. The coupe may have different spring rates, but I doubt it is that. To summarize potential variables between how to otherwise identical M6 cars having different ride qualities (generally arranged in the order of the highest impact to lower impact):
1. Wheel size (19s vs 20s)
2. Tire sidewall spec and type
3. EDC setting
4. Variability in road conditions
5. Tire pressure
6. Age and condition of suspension components
7. ZCP suspension vs non-ZCP suspension (roll bars, spring rates and damper rates differ)
8. Differences in subjective feel when sitting in the driver vs passenger seats.
9. Rear spring compression due to weight of dead hooker in trunk
10. Coupe having different spring rates to accommodate lighter weight
