He's not right. It auto shifts when pushed to the left in ANY mode. It only switches to manual if you push the shifter up or down or hit the paddles. Then the dash will change from S1, S2, etc to M1, M2, etc.

Exactly what I initially thought.... still have no idea what’s causing this issue it’s been like this for about a week
