He retired and my new PCP thought the gastro risks of taking it outweighed any benefits, and I agreed. Still, he had me cut back to one tablet every other day for a couple of weeks and then every third day for a bit. Then off them completely. He was worried about a "bounce back" effect of coming off them cold turkey. Made sense to me and wasn't a big deal to do.
