Hi all! We're experiencing quite the heatwave here in the UK at the moment (well, heatwave for us anyway).

I've never once seen the active vents in front of the radiator open on my 2014 640d, like ever. I've heard the cooling fan come on, only occasionally, (and of course I never forgot to check then). When do the vents open? Do they stay open after turning off the car, even for a short period?

The temp gauge in the dash only ever points to 12 o'clock (once warmed up) by the way.
