I guess you think the copper mines wouldn't exist otherwise? I'm not sure I see the point here. New processes have been developed that will produce lithium from seawater. You are acting like ICE cars don't use metal, like aluminum, steel, copper, etc.? The mining of aluminum is extremely energy intensive. I could play pictures too and load up the pictures of the tar sands (I've flown over them) in Canada and the massive footprint of drilling and refineries. Ultimately, the EVs are far more efficient than an ICE engine will ever be and people will continue to buy new cars.
