Concerning the double door handle pull...
As I have noted previously, the German engineers believe you should never do in 1 step what can be done in 2.
The double door handle pull is only necessary if the system is coded to automatically lock the doors while driving. That feature, if currently active, can be uncoded.
I left the automatically door lock on, and then coded the auto-unlock upon "removing the key." Although the key is never really "removed," the effect is to unlock the doors upon switching off the ignition. And yes it removes quite an annoyance!
