I had it on my former 335i but not on my 640i, but to your questions
1- hard to say since a vid may have sound degradation, but on my 335i there were no such sounds.
2- not aware but suppose it would be louder
3- the difference in sound would be due to the fact that the program changes will change the shift points and sensitivity of the gas pedal, so you will hear more in sport because you rev higher.
Finally, I would NOT suggest putting the 650i tips on, they are ugly to begin with, and the M performance exhaust comes with ///M engraved tips that you'll love and not want to discard!
