I used BMC filters for a year no problems , Now I have RK Carbon front mount intakes with oiled K&N filters for a year no problems,when you get the filters new , lay down some paper towels and spray some compressed air over them to push out any residual oil there may be.
The sound from BMC or any other panel filter won’t make any difference in sound
There is always gonna be a film of oil in the intake tubes because the PCV Valves are piped directly into the intakes
