If you did the reset correctly...the iDrive screen should have went blank. If it didn't go blank...then some procedure that was to occur probably didnt'.
Make sure the START button is pressed (without foot on brake...engine NOT running). Then follow the instruction below where it says to
press & hold the VOL button for at least 25 seconds. I'd also pull up the main MENU screen just to be on the safe side.
