Widespread Connected Drive outage? Are you affected?

It’s no secret that the Connected Drive app and in-car services are, shall we say, glitchy and undependable, but the system reportedly has suffered a general outage at least since the beginning of this week.

Some reports associate this outage with an attempt by BMW to reprogram the entire system and a failure to bring it back up, but regardless, many users - including me - can’t get it to work at all now.

Some users say the outage also has knocked out their CarPlay capability. Some, including me, have been unable to use the in-car WiFi system.

Are any of you experiencing similar things? Alternately, are any of you finding that these service are working normally?
