Thanks. I have ZF8 in the m240 and you do get the kick in the back when driving manual and up shifting from 1 to2 to 3 and you are close to the redline. However it is not as fast or as crisp as DCT. ZF8 has the advantage of selecting the lowest gear close to the redline if you downshift with prolonged hold. Moreover, that extra gear '8' of ZF8 is probably worth extra 5 mpg on motorway long drives. I expect the G8X to have a better fuel economy that F8X
Upon all, I would still take the DCT over the ZF8 for the fun
