You won't go wrong. Both are awesome

- M5 has all the latest and greatest tech. Better seating for 5 people (I really considered the 6 GC a two seater with rear token seats). More options. And biggest thing to me is the xdrive. Something I really wish BMW had in M cars sooner. 600HP to all 4 is a big deal and something I really like about the alpina B6.

-M6, hands down better looking and a head turner. The m5 blends in unless you pass another car guy. It seems everyone appreciates the 6 series as you probably know from yours. Also keep in mind you will probably see a lot more M5's on the road than M6's

If it were me, m5 as a daily driver for sure here in the north east. Although if I were looking for something seasonal, I'd take the M6. Again, you won't go wrong with either.
