A few days after my previous message, I went for a test drive of a 630d GT xDrive M sport, and bought it.
The 6 cylinders engine does sound better than my previous 4 cylinders one. But I think for the UK motorway speed, 4 cylinder engine is good enough, and quiet enough in my previous 5GT.
The coasting function in the Eco Pro mode is interesting. The car rolls a lot longer distance than my previous car at the same road and same condition. The Adaptive mode is confusing, and doesn't feel much of difference.
I am still using my first tank of diesel so far, so far it looks like around 38 MPG (UK MPG) for my daily town driving (short distance trips). That is the same fuel economy to my previous car - 520d GT. After a few tanks, I will know more precise average figures.
