I have the exact car, picked it up 4 weeks ago. The economy is pretty shocking, and nothing like what's published (I think it's about 31mpg).

On the first 2 tanks, my right foot was feeling a little heavy, and for some reason my finger kept pressing the sport mode button. I got between 14 and 18 mpg.

Determined to be slightly more sensible, on my 3rd tank, I decided to exclusively use eco mode, and intentionally drive super economically. I've been doing a mixture of short and long journeys (admittedly slightly more short than long), I'm getting about 22-23 mpg.

But to give you an idea, immediately after filling up and resetting the clocks, I spent 30 mins on the motorway, all cruise controlled, all totally sensible, and I only achieved 27-28 mpg there. So how they publish over 30 mpg as a combined figure is totally beyond me.

It may break the bank on fuel economy, but it is a lovely car to drive, and looks so much better in person than in BMWs crappy marketing shots. I love it.
