It's a bit far and out of the country but Quebec City is beautiful in the winter. Lots of charm, history, great food, and things to do/see.

Why do you say that? I would argue Seattle with the rain (And I lived in Vancouver WA for 3 years, so I'm not picking on WA) is depressing, my Ex wife hated it there, but it was beautiful when it was not raining!. |
To each their own I guess. We lived in NH for 7 years. It just didn't resonate with us. Very glad to be back in the PNW.
