Something my dealer said last month caught me a little by surprise regarding the 8 Series specifically. I guess someone there has it on good authority that once they get done with these special edition 850's, the 8 badge is going back on the shelf in favor of resurrecting the 6 again. I know this info has been rumored for a while but it sounds like this is more than just online auto rag gossip.
Beyond that, I have a feeling the 4 is going to trail the new gen 3 by at least a year if not more which wouldn't be at all surprising based on previous generation launches. What's going to be interesting is seeing how they respond to market demand when the new M3 drops to dealer order lists. Seeing the data on power train preference from actual customers is gonna play a major role in how they decide to roll out the new 4 and M4 whenever it breaks cover.
