this year marks the 40th year that I attempted to learn to drive a stick. (technically, I tried in year 1 and stopped trying for the next 39 years)
sooner or later, I'll learn to drive a stick. oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably come back here in 2035 and say the same thing again.
by then, my excuse will probably be "but all new cars are full EV" or "nobody makes a manual transmission car anymore"
