Coming from Mercedes, I’m use to slightly pushing the break pedal a bit harder at a stop light to initiate break hold. Works great.
With my new M8, there’s a button that does the similar thing as my past Benz.
It works the same, but the only downside from what I’ve seen is that it constantly stays on and is annoying when pulling into a car space or my garage. I prefer the engine to do the work versus tapping my gas peddle to initiate the car to move forward in my garage, especially with 617 HP.
No I’m not bashing BMW, I was just used to soemthing on the Benz and if it doesn’t function the same, oh well, no sweat.
Can someone confirm if break hold can be activated by pressing the break pedal slightly harder like on a Mercedes or only in the way that I’ve been using it?
