My experiences with some of the cars in the last 5 years reflect pretty closely to that list except for Chevy. My Corvette and Silverado were very reliable and I've yet to see one of the Camaros that my track crew races with have reliability issues unrelated to mods. One of them had an issue with the rear trunk not opening with the key fob but it may have been related to other things.

My last 9 (I think) bimmers have all been superb with only one issue on the new X5 where the center console touch buttons stopped working. The only BMW I ever had serious problems with was an early fourth gen 745.

I personally think very highly of BMW in terms of reliability so I get confused when people say they aren't.

They are 100% the most reliable manufacturer right now out of the big German brands (excluding Porsche - not real experience to judge on this).
