I have the same problem and got the same response from BMW. BMW sent out an engineer to drive it and immediately said "its the torque converter - but Its within tolerance". That was after the dealer hit me up for 2 new wheels, 2 new tires, straightened 6 wheels and balanced wheels 12 times. Not sure why they did all that work if it was within tolerance.
