totally agree, the facebook group is full of scaremongering, it actually quite a depressing read most of the time. Enjoy your car and just make sure the usual things are taken care of like oil services more regular than the quoted bmw intervals.
I bought my 640D/F13 almost a year ago, a 2017 car with 52k miles, full bmw SH, a great spec and its been amazing. Its the perfect blend of performance / luxury and economy. My only gripe is i wish the rear seats folded flat but other than that i cant think what i would ever replace it with?
