Lifting because of tyre degradation management or fuel management? Hell yeah but not because of an impending puncture. If they knew the tyre would blow up they would have retired the car but of course they had no clue.
Very unfair to blame RB/Max for this. The fact that he set the FL is also no proof of him pushing - the fuel load simply got minimal towards the end of the race.

You're still short 15 years of my time period watching F1. Ridiculing my assertion won't make if going away.
And if you haven't heard them say, "take it easy on the left front or the right rear, etc., I'm not impressed with your 30 years of watching F1. You're like the person who was in High School for 8 years and graduated at 22 saying they're an expert on the subject.
My 30 years in senior management in Fortune 500 and Dow 30 companies and helping to take a company public as well as selling one for just under 800 million after 18 months are my references for this. Further, I've spent time at speed on 4 FIA Grade One tracks.
You are a RB fanboi and will defend what they say to the bitter end. RBR is a toxic environment who destroys their primary assets, human capital, writ large. The fact that Max and his toxic father, Jos fit in perfectly tell me so much about the organization as well as it's fans. Carry on.
