There's usually a gap about 12-18 months from the end of production of the current gen. So I expect no earlier than mid 2018 for the vert and early 2019 for the coupe. Unless BMW suddenly decided they need to unveil new M models faster. You're best bet would be to lease a 2016 for 24 months.

Not until 2019 for US. ///M variants are going to come a little quicker than usual, but the 6er production cycle is set. Coupé/Conv EOP is Oct 2018, Gran Coupé Feb 2019. M variants to follow end of 2019.
