COMMENTS

Here's a first look at a M Sport Edition 6 Series. This 650i Convertible on display at the 2013 LA Auto Show is optioned with the M Sport Edition Package, first announced in May and which began production in July.

The M Sport Edition package is available on all models and engine variants for the 6 Series range. It includes everything in the traditional M Sport package, but adds new Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster, Full LED Adaptive Headlights, and the Executive Package. On 650i and 650i xDrive models it also includes the Driver Assistance Package.

The M Sport edition models also add the option of Sakhir Orange exterior paint, which was previously reserved for M6. Also available is interior upholstery in BMW Individual Merino Leather in Opal White with contrasting seams in Sakhir Orange.

Pricing for the BMW 6 Series M Sport Edition adds $4,600 to the base MSRP of the 6 Series Convertible, $4,800 to the 6 Series Coupe, and $5,300 to the 6 Series Gran Coupe.

I always loved BMW's white interior whether it be Opal, Ivory or Oyster but it's just asking to get dirty and that alone would prevent me from purchasing a BMW with one of those interiors.

I would be so worried about getting those seats dirty, though

All interiors get dirty.

Keep a good leather cleaner handy and use it once a week or even less, and leather conditioner every 10k miles or so, should be all good.

Looks great in the photos but honestly there's a Sakhir M6 Coupe in my local dealer's showroom which under the lighting there just looks dull. I was in love with this color until I saw it in person - maybe because of the location.

There's a guy with a Sakhir M6 vert in my neighborhood and it does look better out and about under the sunlight.

This is one beautiful F ing car period. But, a year later I can seriously see myself getting tired of cleaning that white interior.

I wish BMW would add a convertible hard top to this monster like the Z4.

M6 Sakhir Orange Vert with Silverstone

I have a Sakhir Orange M6 with Silverstone interior (very light grey) and I can tell you that it is very difficult to keep the interior clean. Driving with the top down in South FL gets oil and diesel spots on the back seats especially the rear head rest and if not cleaned soon, it tends to smudge and get worst.
We also have a white American Eskimo dog and his white fur seems drawn to the black convertible top. Have to use a portable Dyson vac to get most of it off.
If I had to do it over again, would get a darker interior and the grey convertible top.
But, love the Sakhir Orange. Get so many compliments.
About the SO 650 pictured with all the options, why not get an M6??

What's the point, just get an m6. I don't see the need for all these body kits making people pay money to look like m cars. They should be unique in their own way. The m division shouldn't even design the kits. An M driver doesn't want to pull up next to an almost identical looking vehicle of the same series. One guy feels like he over paid and the other feels like an idiot. How they perform is a totally different story, but they shouldn't look the same. Maybe I'm just completely insane.

Jason,

Do you have any information on when the 6 series M sport Edition will end?
BMW brochure I picked up says available only until 12/31/13. But I have read several articles that state it will continue into 2014. This is another clue, why would BMW show the sport Edition at this Nov auto show if it's to be discontinued next month. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

I love white interior. It gives so much light inside and makes me feel peaceful and happy. I have one car with black interior and I dont like it. Most people choose black because it doesnt show the dirt, if is black it doesnt mean is clean. I think the white actualy helps because you know when is clean. My bimmer is in ivory and I love it!
I had a Jaguar with white interior for 8 years and never got dirty. Twice a year you clean that car nice and the rest of the time you respect the car and maintain it, I dont see any problem.

I love this color combo, i think it looks just beautiful.
Not to mention the car, which is just gorgeous. I am not a Cabrio person but I love the 6 series interior, is one of the best I have seen lately.

Seeing your location is Coral Springs ... I have a feeling you might be the guy who I mentioned in my earlier post in this thread with the Sakhir M6 Vert.

I am in Coral Springs also with a Monte Carlo Blue X6M with Mugello Red interior.

I see this Sakhir M6 Vert (almost always with the top down) pulling into or out of the community across the street from mine from time to time... I always see fellow ///M owners and hope that it's an enthusiast, which isn't always the case down here.

Either way, gorgeous car man!

And agreed with all these options and the price of the 650 series fully loaded, it almost just makes sense to go full M6 for not that much more.

The color is gorgeous, but instead of Opal White I'd go for some Cohiba cuban cigar color leather
