I wonder how much time the DCT would shave off. I'd assume it HAS to shave some time off, right?

For 0-60 testing, Motor Trend got 4.2 secs for a Manual F10 M5 and 3.7 secs for one with a DCT.

No, DCT is just that fast! I have a few honest friends who are e90 M3 6MT owners and they all secretly confess how they wish they got DCT simply because they just cant shift as fast.

M6 GC with DCT will be one of BMW's most promising cars without any doubt in my humble opinion. With BMW doing so many fucked up things these days, its nice to see them actually get something right for once...

M6 GC might be as fast as M6 Coupe, maybe let's assume 0,01 sec slower.
Does anybody knows the numbers For M6 Coupe with DCT?

Are the 0-60 times with or without a 1 foot roll out. That usually improves things by .3 seconds. Either way, that is rocketing in a big car.

True... I was never able to break 4.7 sec to 60 in my E90M3 MT, whereas DCT has been measured as low as 3.9-4.3 both in publications and by M3 board members. The short gearing in M3 MT through 1st gear makes launches even more difficult vs the DCT, as more torque is applied to the wheels in 1st vs the DCT. I knew this going into my purchase and after testdriving both the MT and DCT, the choice was obvious for me.

WOW! DCT will be even faster! That's a lot of weight moving so quickly. Hope the chassis is up to the task of handling the weight and power.

Not bad at all, it hit 140mph 1.8 seconds faster than the R8 V10 manual C&D tested a little while ago. Plus it costs less and seats 4

Shouldn't be any at all for a competent driver, and with all the new goodies including launch control, it should be fool proof

So you're saying that there could be a GC doing 0-60 in 3.4s? That's pretty darn quick, getting close to the 3s mark there.

That's pretty ridiculous for a car that size/weight. Imagine if it were a bit lighter where the weight isn't really felt on a track or in turns, this would really be the ultimate driving machine. BMW's lightweight program with CFRP can't come soon enough...
