BMW needs a mid-engine car that can challenge the MP4-12c and the Italia. It is embarrassing that they dont have a halo car in 2013.

Halo cars are great, but seriously give it a few more years and then maybe the timing will be more practical. 2013 is the year for Electric not for halo cars.

Surprised by the time for the RS5, I always thought M3 was the quicker car

I had the opportunity to drive that car on that track during the M-power trip last month. I wish I timed my runs. The car sounded amazing with that exhaust.

i feel like the m3 and m6 times could've been better. Especially being behind the rs5 which makes no sense

Yes the RS5 time is really surprising. I can assure you though that the lap times set by Deon Joubert are a true reflection of the cars' track performance. He knows that track better than anybody else and holds the record.

Also the South African M3 frozen edition has an upgraded intake manifold, upgraded exhaust and a power increase of 21 kW and 20 Nm over the standard M3, which makes the RS5 time all the more impressive.

For comparison, the F10 M5 did a 1:24:XX, but was slower than the CLS63.

Killarney is a really small and tight track. I think the quattro system might have an advantage there.

+1 to Deon Joubert. He may look a little sketchy but a really great driver
