Carbon Fiber Roof Care

How should I best care for the carbon fiber roof?

Should I treat it like plastic or like clearcoat?

In my previous M6, I treated CF just like any other painted surface. Waxed as usual. In the 6 years I owned the vehicle never had an issue or being dull or discolored. I am not aware of any other special care that is necessary.

+1

I've always treated naked CF as if it was paint (in fact, I believe it's got a layer of clearcoat sitting on top of it, anyway, so externally it is technically like other painted panels on your car). Paint sealant is what I've always used, and most recently, Wolf's Hard Body.

Requires nothing special. I heard some complaints about early 2006 M6 CF roofs yellowing or delaminating but it doesn't seem to be common.

Has anyone had an issue with scratches on the CF roof? I have some scratches or looks that way from the highway i'm guessing. Is there any special compound I should get to remove them or the standard big box store stuff will suffice?

I have a few scratches on the roof as well. Probably a polish pad with the buffer machine would clear it up.
