2016 M6 Competition Package

There was some reference to the 2016 M6 having a Competition Package with 575hp (http://www.newcarannouncements.com/2...nges-features/).

Granted it's all speculation and unreliable, but since the recent announcement of the GT3-spec M6 to replace the GT3 Z4, does anyone see this as more than slightly probable?

575 hp is standard for the competition package....

FYSA, the MY15 ends production in FEB15... Hopefully production for the MY16 will start soon after.. BMW won't announce the date until closer to MY15 EOP (End of Production) so they can ensure they sell off the MY15s

After finally getting to test drive an M6, the wait is even more unbearable!! lol
Now I know why owners take it to the race track, it was a pain to get the car up to speed when everyone else drives so damn slow!!
It is quite the BEAST!!! Definitely put a BIG smile on my face!!
You get what you pay for!!!

This is old news, as the CP has been in production since 2014 models were released. My 2015 M6 GC has the Comp Package which has the upgraded HP. Here's what else it offers:
  1. New Coil Springs
  2. New Damper Calibrations
  3. Stiffened Anti-Sway Bars that have lowered the car’s ride by 10mm
  4. 0 to 60 mph sprint time was reduced by 0.1 seconds.
  5. New Steering has also been upgraded to a "recalibration" of the non-CP steering system (the steering rack is programmed for more direct input and road feel), which was a big complaint from 2013 owners that felt this was missing.
  6. Active rear differential gets a custom setting that improves traction
  7. 20-inch M light-alloy wheels
  8. New Sport Exhaust System featuring M quad tailpipes finished in Black Chrome
  9. Re-mapped M Dynamic Mode (MDM) of DSC (Dynamic Stability Control)

Can't wait!
Hope the delivery date isn't beyond April!

::UPDATE::
Just found out the start of production for MY16 is MAR15... Given that, I just visited the BMW dealer and put $1K down to secure a production slot for the MY2016 M6 ensuring I can have a delivery date of April/May2015!
