Is The M6 the only BMW Car Without the Shark Fin? - 6Post.com | BMW 6-Series Forum

Personally, I have never liked the shark fin antenna that has been added to roofs of BMW's (and most other cars) to accommodate the telecommunications/infotainment functions of newer cars. So I have been extremely pleased that the M6 does not need or have, any such external antenna, and I believe it is the only BMW, including the M5, not having same. Am I correct? Do others share my aesthetic dislike for these external antennas?

The 6 series since the e63 has not had the fin. The antenna is part of the trunk lid construction since its composite, well atleast it was in the former 6 series. I too do not like the fin, luckly my last 3 cars have not had 1!

Yes it is built into the backside of the trunk lid along with the satellite radio antenna and the cell booster antenna
