First San Marino Blue M6 Coupe Spotted

The 2013 M6 Coupe (F13) is a beautiful car, especially in its eye catching launch color - Sakhir Orange. But, it's refreshing to finally see it in another color (besides the Brilliant White M6 Coupe shown at the Beijing auto show). Here it is in San Marino Blue, which is the launch color for the M6 Convertible (F12). This M6 features the now-standard trunk spoiler for the coupe.

Both San Marino Blue and Sakhir Orange are available for the U.S. M6 coupe and the convertible as standard metallic colors in addition to Singapore Grey, Imperial Blue, Mojave (Havana), Black Sapphire, Space Grey, Silverstone and Alpine White. Current factory Individual colors ($1800 option) for the U.S. include Moonstone, Tanzanite Blue, Citrin Black, and Ruby Black.

We've posted below a few of our renders of the F13 M6 Coupe in some of these colors.

These have already been popping up in showrooms around the US in the same color, at least in Southern California.

That's the convertible (whose launch color is San Marino Blue).

Until now, the coupe has only been seen in Sakhir Orange and Brilliant White.

That's true -- which makes me wonder why you incorrectly identified that color as Valencia Orange in the original post. Valencia was the 1M's launch color.

Unrelated, San Marino was described to me as "Interlagos, amped way the hell up", and having since seen one at BMW of Austin, that's the perfect descriptor. It's about the same hue, just way more saturated and a bit brighter. I really want to see Tanzanite in person though.

That would be difficult since production M6 coupes have not yet arrived in the US.

I like the tanzanite blue metallic better... I am holding out for BMW to make a brilliant dark blue.. something like a mixture of monaco, carbon black, jerez, azurite and all mixed together and better tnan SMB/TBM
