Been there done that... I can personally tell you not to waste your time and money. There are tons of people bidding on the same HOT item(s), the bidding wars can go on for hours. Now, if you're trying to get that Craftsman Socket set that a few people are looking at, you can win it for cheap.

I just won a Black & Decker cordless power screwdriver for 1 penny! lol.. I'll probably just sell it on ebay.

But yes... I get the gist of it now.. could take forever and a lot of money to actually "win" the item.

google Quibids. or penny bids. It's nothing new and they should be arrested for their misleading commercials. OP you already did it but always open a dispute on your end so they have to answer to hte Ebay police lol

I was watching their auctions for a little while last night after reading the earlier posts. There were a few things which didn't sell but were worthless on eBay.

How much was the shipping for the item you won and how much have they recently sold for on eBay? Now you have me curious!

For that particular item, it was $4.99 shipping. I spent a total of 1 bid @ .60 cents and .01 cent for the item. So that makes a total of $5.60 spent on an item that retails for $18.99.

I don't know what they are going for on eBay but I figure that I recover my shipping cost and charge the same shipping and sell the item for $10-$15 either on eBay or Craigslist. It's not exactly raking in the dough and it's probably more effort than is worth it (especially if there are listing fees elsewhere).

I'll see how the rest of my $60. and remaining 99 bids go on quibids. If I can bid for more bids for pennies on the dollar and win those extra bids it might be worth it to try to get one big ticket item but all in all, it's not worth the time or money. Quibids is making money hand over fist the way it's set up. Pretty ingenious really. I don't know where they're getting their stock/items from, but they're not going broke anytime soon.

It was worth checkin out but if I want to gamble money I'll do it in Vegas and at least look at tits and get free booze in the process

At the end of the day I'll probably just keep the damn screwdriver. I can always use another tool.

One of the e-mails said that the buyer wasn't even a registered eBay user [how the hell does eBay let someone bid if they aren't a user?????], and they even charged me for that auction!
weird.... I have not sold on eBay in yearrrsss so I never kept up with it. I heard they've gone south..
