M Performance exhaust system?

Anybody knows if there is a M Performance exhaust system for the F12 640i?
Just to tune the sound a little....

Nothing has been announced yet. If you would have asked me a few days ago if, I would have said that BMW assumes that the 6-series is too up-market for the tuner crowd so they probably won't make one. But they just recently announced an M Performance exhausts for the F10 5-series (alongside exhausts for the F2X and F3X cars), so who knows.

Actually I just found the official press release from BMW before the Geneva Motor Show in March, describing what they are going to present there. Seems like there is a lot of "M Performance" accsesories in the pipeline, some of it even for the 6 series.
Here it is:

You're right -- I wonder why bimmerpost didn't pick up on it.

The BMW M Performance silencer system is available for the
6-cylinder models BMW 640i, BMW 535i and BMW 335i, as well as for the
BMW 125i, which is new to the portfolio.
So it looks like the exhausts are just for non-X N55 cars. I wonder if that means that N20 cars are out of luck for the time being.

My tip is that they expand the program step by step.
Personally I think it's worth the money having original BMW tuning parts.

Seems like they will be offering an engine tuning kit for my future (May) 120d as well!

It looks like I misread the press release. BMW is releasing an M Performance exhaust for the 125i, which is an N20 car (I read that as 135i). So it looks like exhausts for the rest of the N20 range shouldn't be too far behind.

Hello i'am new on this forum.
I become the end of this month my new 640i cabrio Imola-red. It has a M-sport package. I was also looking for a solution for the sound because it is i think a little bit to less for this car. I am glad that you find the M-performance exhaust system that comes this month. And i think i will orders this also for my car. Do you now if there is a video where i can hear the sound and where i can see how the exhaust look like.

Thanks for your repley

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Congrats with a great car Make sure to post pics and tell your first impressions

According to the press release it looks like they will introduce the M performance parts step by step. Hopefully the silencer for the 6 series (page 62) will be ready early......

I haven't seen/heard any videoclip yet, guess it will be available somewhere after the parts have come out. I am waiting....

VERY promising!
Seems like the clip is from 3-series and not 6. Hopefully even the 640 sound shows up in a short time.

Thanx anyway!

Hey have you installed your exhaust yet? any updates? a little review for the rest of us that are interested in this mod would really appreciate it. How does it sound inside the car, any drone? do you feel a difference in power, low end, mid, high end? Video clips?

Anything would help...
Thank You

Hello persiangodfatha,

I have installed the M-exhaust. Look at the forum under 640i imola red with M performance. There is also a video with the sound, its the sound from a cold start. I liked the sound verry much and i have almost always the rear window open to hear that sound, even in winter. It is no difference in power only it feels like you have more power because of the sound. I bought it only for the sound it is better for my Imola red car.

Yesterday I just ordered the M exhaust for my 2013 640i GC from my dealer. They quoted me $1550. I asked if that was installed. NOPE. Then I informed them it was $1252 on the BMW website. They adjusted it to $1252. Watch those dealers. They play dumb and give dumber answers. It will be about 1580.00 installed at the dealer.
