Carbon Black M Sport 650xi Coupe - New Pics!
Washed and waxed today and then took some new pics before the bugs, fingerprints, and dirt had a chance to find their way on to my car. Slightly better backdrop than my driveway, too. lol.
After spending a few hours giving it a good clean, here are a couple of my thoughts: 1. Wheels (20" M Sport - 373, I think) = pain to clean. There wasn't a horrible amount of break dust, but there are a lot of tight places that are hard to access (and lots of sharp pieces to carefully avoid). 2. I used a leaf blower to dry the wheels and in between the seams. It is amazing how much water gets between the panels. This saved me a bunch of time with the wheels especially.

It really is unlike any other color. I like it best when it is overcast, but it is cool having a different color car every day. It's not only the blue and black - the metal flakes also have a tendency to come and go with the amount and angle of the light. I wasn't too happy when I found out I couldn't get the Black Sapphire with M Sport, but now I'm glad I didn't have the choice. The upkeep is a small price to pay for the color. I just changed from a red that didn't show anything except for mud and tar. This is definitely a change, but I love it!

The car looks great, but your hood is unlatched on the left side

Those yellow lights in the rear light units (seen on pics 8 & 10) made me curious since I've never seen them over here: Is it a sort of parking lights or are they permanently lit together with the front wing lights? (I assume it is a US specification).
Very good looking car btw, not too different from my vert ![]()

They actually aren't lights. They are reflectors, and I stupidly forgot to turn off the flash when I took these pics. Thus the reflectors are reflecting (they are almost invisible, i.e. red, unless light is shining right at them) and the black leather looks a little lighter than it does in reality.

No warning. It was completely latched, but the spacers were off a little bit. I made a few little adjustments and reclosed it, and the gap is now even.

It equals the settings for aircon/ventilation on left and right side. Right side gets what you have on left, so you only need to adjust drivers side when "all" is activated.
A very handy function.
