I already posted this but here is how it should have looked to match the CS Concept roofline:

Then it would have been fantastic...

But something is wrong on the series model, it looks more "hunched" than the CS Concept which ironically is closer to the A7 profile but doesn't look hunched like the A7! Thanks BMW for spoiling what would have been an utterly magnificent 4 door coupé. It still looks good but does not match the design standard it could and should have reached.

No. I just don't think everything BMW makes is "FTW" all the time. There are other cars out there that are much nicer. I love my BMW and I'm a fan of most of them. The exterior of the car is beautiful but the individual interior is ugly. Thats my opinion. Thanks!

Yes GC wins over A7, but c'mon, let's not try to juice a comparo with a tailor-made Individual interior.

GC wins on body line, but I really don't think the interior shots represent a fair comparison. BMW Individual is a costly premium that most consumers will never see.

Not to mention the interior looks like a color combo fit for a... well, let's just say I wouldn't choose that combo.

No one tries to juice anything. Since the only pictures BMW has released are of the Individual interior while Audi's official A7 pictures are those of the stock and not the Exclusive line interior, there is no better way to compare.

GranCoupe by far! The Audi A7 has always looked like a dog getting ready to take a dump, you know how a dog looks when it tucks its behind in just before it does its business? That's the A7...

Both cars are gorgeous - for me, front end and rear end views go to Audi, profile view and interior go to the GC (although I would go with a toned-down color scheme). I don't understand how anyone who has seen the A7 in person does not think it's a stunningly beautiful car - but, hey, that's why it's called an opinion. That being said, I don't think comparing these cars is necessarily fair outside of the 4-door "coupe" concept being similar- the GC is positioned above the 6 Series, which is already significantly more expensive than the A7 when comparably equipped. Throw that individual interior on top of the GC, and it's a completely different ball game. I'm a BMW guy at my core, but I'd take the A7/S7 and pocket the difference between the that and the 6/8-cyl GC.

I like the rear of the GC, but the front end of the A7 is far better.

I've always loved the Audi LED light strips (which are now continuous). The LED strips on the GC look like an afterthought; something BMW had to add just because every other car has them now. And the front end styling overall is just... awkward.

I guess that's part of the appeal of the 6-series though. At least it doesn't look like a catfish anymore.

The GC looks sick!! The back of the Audi reminds me of a Honda for some reason.

The interior of the GC is identical to the F11/F12 (rear doors and seats are different of course).
My own F11 is not Individual, but has ordinary nappa interior in black/black with aluminium trim. Contrast stitching in white.
So this would be a typical GC interior.

Besides: The shown Audi A7 interior is probably also the best Audi can offer, official pictures are always loaded with goodies.

LOL we have to admit these polls are a little biased based on what forum we are on. audi fans pick the A7 over the GC and visa versa.

But even in the 5-series you can have the dash in leather, option "X3" which is a full Merino leather package.

you're right, when comparing the looks of A7, it should be compared with the likeness of 5GT. But in $$ and class-wise, the A7's competitor is the 6GC.

I am the biggest 6-Series hater on this planet... but even i think that the 6GC is an awesome looking car. I have not been impressed by BMW in a while.

in the past 10yrs the only BMW's that have "WOW'd" me are :E46 coupe, E92 and F10 M5 thats it, everything else is sh!tty.

I happen to like the A7 exterior styling better but the 6 Series has a sportier and nicer interior. In the end the 6 series wins, I can't get past the 90's look of the Audi auto shifter. Perhaps the Manual or DCT versions will look slightly better.

I agree perhaps the "color" of the individual interior may be off putting to some - but the quality takes it above the A7 . Personally, I think the GC is on par with the Aston Martin Rapide interior wise, probably performance wise as well. I happen to like Audi's too, which my last was a 2010 Q5 SLine Prestige - so I am intimately familiar with the interior quality. Also, there is not much disparity across the model lines that differentiates the interior of the Q5 from the A4/A5/A7 - the A8 is an evolution of the dash/interior layout with a much higher level of luxury, and of course the R's/TT's go their own way.

The F07 GT can also be optioned to surpass the A7 in interior luxury for that matter

Just my two cents

Actually price wise a a a fully loaded XDrive 550i GT tops out around $95K well above the A7 with "all" option boxes checked..
