This 6-series coupe test mule was spotted again recently in Munich. The very first 6-series coupe test mule was spotted and photographed just this past week. This test mule still wears heavy camouflage panels and paint, but it's overall proportions and shape can still be appreciated. The new 6-series coupe is due to launch in 2011.

What i dont get is why does the coupe have the hard top fold lines?

its obviously a coupe because the trunk lines are the coupe type not the cabrio type

I've been told by the photographer who has seen the car up close that the lines are fake - just black tape/sticker to trick us

They put swirls on the cars and drive them around to advertise they are at the drafting boards and to build up tension.

I dunno, this looks a hell of a lot like just a two door 5 series -- which is what the 6 series is -- but I shouldn't be able to SEE that.

because you dont see the lines on the window trim

The front is very loosly based on the MAserati GT, where the grille is big low and wide and the headlamps resemble cones with the apex outwards. I like it

this is what i did.. i went with what you said, and saw the new spy photos. the tip of the light is half way down by the grille. gives me more room to relocate the bmw emblem too. looks more sporty.

car looks boring. I mean the 646Ci design was okay. nothing special. I would rather invest that money in some other BMW types

And I don't think when you get to the 6 series you need flashy styling, i'd much rather have a smooth lined flowing design theme rather than side moldings, plastic vent protrusions and boxy fender flaring (any Merc-AMG). It's a cruiser, let it be smooth. The Maserati GT is a great example, as is the DB9.
