i don't know how they determine who gets what car for loaner vehicles, but I think i scored tonight! My e91 is at the dealer overnight for an alarm install.. and they gave me the keys to a 2006 530i with 1,000 miles on it... I haven't had this much fun with a "rental" in a looooong time.. two words summarize my experience: "SMOKEY DONUTS"...

I went to the dealer and they gave me an identical 325i to mine (color, options, etc), with the exception of the steptronic. I was actually very impressed with how well it drove.

Tauruses? I thought they gave you a BMW at the BMW dealership when you get a loaner.

they have freaking Enterprise there, so they always send me over there to get a "loaner". Im actually thinking of switching to another dealer for service. Im just afraid they wont treat it the same since I didnt buy it there.

On my dealer's loaner/rental info sheet when I did the paperwork, they specifically state must be at least 25 for a BMW. Otherwise, it's 21 that's probably why they send you to

Enterprise.

BMW of Dallas uses Enterprise too if they run out of cars.

Had an '04 530i as a loaner. Smelled like smoke and air freshener. It was fast and sloppy.

BMW of Towson, which is where I purchased my car, doesnt have Enterprise, but I have yet to bring in my car for service. However, one of the things that several salemen boasted at various dealerships was the number of cars in their loaner program. On of the other dealers said they have over 25 cars, while my Towson said they have over 50 BMWs.

It makes sense. They have over 20 bay's and are the biggest BMW dealership in the state.

They are BMW/Mini, but Mini is mini. Center of the pic:

When I've brought my older E46 in the dealership in the past, I've gotten a 328i, and X3, and a Mini. Not bad.

the first time i took my x5 in i got a M Roadster... WOW.. now that car is fun...

And my dad he gets any freaking car he wants its crazy. He will call me in a 6 or a m5 or an m3... lucky bastard!!
