What kind of car is this for?

Most have said it just wont work because, "its too complicated".

There are some versions available. Is this an e63/e64 or a f06/12/13?

This guy offers it from his website: http://www.codemycar.com/services/remotestart/

I dont think you will. I have looked but there is nothing that I can see.

So the legend goes remote starts are illegal in Germany for being wasteful and dangerous.

There is an option to get an auxiliary heater. I have not found too much information about it, but it looks like it its similar to the original heaters in old bugs and Porsches. They burn fuel in a heater under the hood to heat the cabin. From everything I have seen they are for diesels only, and unavailable in the US.

Here's a couple links to read to get as aggravated. http://m.bmw.com/m/mobi/com/en/gener...e-services.cml
