YEP I saw it there.
Check what RPM your @ 80MPH indicated, and let me know, I will do the same on my M5.

According to BMW US, who have the gear ratios on their site unlike BMW UK :

Quote:
M6 GC

Automatic gear ratios - I/II/III/IV

4.81/2.59/1.70/1.28 :1

Automatic gear ratios - V/VI/VII

1.00/0.84/0.67 :1

Final drive ratio

3.15 :1

M5

7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission ratios – I/II/III/IV

4.81/2.59/1.70/1.28 :1

7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission ratios – V/VI/VII/R

1.00/0.84/0.67/4.17 :1

7-speed M Double Clutch Transmission ratios – Final drive ratio

3.15 :1
So exactly the same, at least for US spec.

Oh yeah, that's it, Efficient Dynamics!

You can set the duration of each bar with the zoom feature (magnifying glass).

The schematic of the car charging the battery and not using the fan is pretty pointless!

Thanks Richard must be the same for all cars then, they would not have a different gear ratio for the UK IMO.

Yes, very unlikely. I suppose a different final drive ratio might be possible.

Man this thing eats the road, I remember the E60 M5 being bad for suddenly realising you were doing twice or three times what you thought, but this is on another planet
This! Most of the time I just do not believe the HUD. It's like they've added a 50mph over-read. I simply cannot be going that fast when it feels like 80....

Exactly! Now I've found the LIM button, I've been using it on a few roads.. quite handy, although it feels like I'm crawling along.. reminds me of when I used to ride Bikes, doing 70 on those felt like you could just step off.

The LIM button is very useful, far better than Cruise Control IMO, I always use it through roadworks etc. that have SPECS cameras.

Guys, do you get these mpg numbers in City? Freeway?
The best I have got is 14.3 mpg which is converted to 17 mpg (UK gallon) with 50/50 (City/Freeway)!!! And I'm using AKI 91 which is RON 95!

Mine was 'Freeway' all the way, town driving kills the MPG very quickly.

I still think 7th gear is higher than an m5, not by much but higher.
Can anyone please tell me if I can change the colour of the display car on the reversing screen. I am over looking at a sliver coupe when the car is black.
