2018 BMW M6 GC Changes
Hey,
I am new to this forum. Just ordered a new M6 GC production scheduled for February 2018. Anyone knows if there are any changes on the M6 models from 2017 to 2018 except the newer idrive version? We also now get the driver's assistance package as standard for 2018 in Canada. Other than that my dealer seems to have no clue. I also tried to order a manual but was not able to add the executive package without a DCT. Vlad |

these are the only 2018 model year changes
https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/usa/a...8-bmw-6-series Which new idrive are you talking about btw, the NBT Evo? I believe Evo was effective in 2015+ . Maybe you get version ID6? Here's the filters for M cars: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/usa/a...earch/tag:124/ Here's the filters for M6: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/usa/a...earch/tag:128/ Here's the filters for 6-series: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/usa/a...earch/tag:117/ Also according to the order guide, you CANNOT get ZCP or M Drivers package anymore with 6MT. That's a x 1000 And for GCs, the standard 433 style wheels will now only be in gloss black. Even though the 433s are the heaviest wheels, IMO, they look the best and having them in gloss black for 2018 only will make them look super unique. I'll go with 433s if I were you. You can always buy an extra set of 343s or 601s, but 433s in black will be really hard to come by, the current silver ones are already hard to find on the used market. Yes, correct... still no touch screen on the Idrive which is ok as I never used that feature on my other cars as I hate fingerprints on the screen. Interesting observation on the new 433 rims! Those are the rims I ordered but I was sure they will be the usual bi-colour as I saw a 2018 M6 in the show room and they were the usual bi-colour wheels... I didn’t get the competition package as I live in Toronto and all our roads are straight.

Too late. But anyways, I couldn’t justify spending extra 8500 on a steering feel. I had an E60 M5 before so for me an M6 is a huge upgrade, with or without competition. 😅 next M is maybe another 10 years away so wouldn’t be too concerned with its resale value...
