2014 leftover deals

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of looking at a 2014 coupe. I am planning on leasing, and I was wondering what would constitute a good deal with a plan to put $10k down, for 2 years and with a 10k mile per year limit.
Also, what has your experience been with dealers in terms of modding these cars?
Thank you

I don't know much about leasing but I've seen a few threads about it where anything around $1200 for our cars is considered a great deal.

I think that's because he's putting 10k down..

OP most folks advice against putting money down on a lease.. I would keep that 10k in my pocket..

Basically you need to put ONLY drive off.
Drive off means the first payment + all fees (registration fee, document fee,...)
as @Twitch said the monthly payment of $12xx with drive off is a good deal for this car.

Thank you for the help.

The dealer offered 7 MSDs. Now, I've searched the forum to understand this but I'm still confused.
What do they represent? I know they are fully refundable but at what point are they due?
Also, the dealer made a mistake on residual value....
So here is the latest on the deal I am being offered for feedback from you guys:

7 MSDs ($1,300x7, total of $9,100)
MF: 0.00086
RV: 54%
1,295.04/month for 10k miles/year

Not sure if this is a good deal/idea.... Thanks again

Agreed, Never put money down on a lease IMO. Best thing to do is use those $10,000 as MSD.

I am also kind of in the market for an M6 (need someone to takeover my current 650i lease or be pulled ahead). If I were you I would make them come all the way down to around 103k for the selling price (cap cost). That's the lowest I have seen an M6 advertised for.. It's a 2014 and the 2015's have already started hitting lots.. But that's me... Others may have a different opinion.

It's simple! The original MF offered to you is 0.00135. You put 7 MSD (Multiple Security Deposits) that will be returned to you at the end of the lease. Each security deposit, reduces the MF by 0.00007 so 7 MSD reduces by 0.00049 then 0.00135 - 0.00049 = 0.00086!
Just keep in mind that your $9100 will be back at the end of the lease so if you want to get rid of this car earlier like in 2 years, you need to find somebody (who takes care of your lease) to cash you back at that time since BMW financial will not give your money back earlier; so you will have hard time to find that guy...

Is the residual on an M6 really only 54%? Holy crap.

Is it .00129 @ 54% for 12k?

sounds like a good deal, much better than what I got. Not to thread jack, but did you like your GT-500? Hell of a car, how does the M6 drive compared to it? I know interior, etc they aren't in the same class.

I agree... never put money down on a lease. I did that once... 12k on a lease and the car was totaled by an idiot texting... lost all 12k. Gap will not cover your downpayment ....

The Shelby is a bit of a one trick pony, although it is a very charming one.
The power is absolutely endless and intoxicating. The stock tires are grossly suboptimal for the power, making the first two gears a bit useless beyond doing burnouts. With regards to handling, the GT-500 is not confidence inspiring in spite of its good capabilities. There is mild-moderate body roll as well.

Overall, it is a fun car, which I find to be very attractive on the exterior but profoundly lacks when it comes to the interior and driver feedback.
