F13 M6 with Toyo R888 (315/30/20) - Stockers

F13 M6 with the stock 20s. The stock rear is 10.5 and fits the R888 without issues. Looks so beefy!!!!!!!! (Going to track this weekend)

I had the tires heat cycled from Tire rack(came recommended) the tires look beautiful! Mind you, I installed Only rears while keeping my shot Corsa tires up front.. Oh man i can't wait till April for the MPSS..

First impressions with 55 degree NY weather.. No grip!!! Like a slip an slide! The car has a floaty-boaty sensation. Feels like I'm hydro planing on highway. No road feel at all!.. Feels like shit.

Driving after 1 hour.. Tires have begun to warm up and everything is enhancing.. Slowly but surly. I can actually rip into 2nd gear! I call that success!

Moral of the story, tires need to be HOT! I am yet to experience the full grip of these bad boys so I cannot fully say good or bad. This week is expected to be in the low 70s and we shall see!
Road feel= Ehhhhh I actually miss the Corsa pirellis!

I thought 305 was as wide as you could go on the 10.5 rears

315's are ok but very uncommon, basically nobody makes a 315/30/20 at all apart from Toyo and a Pirelli that is also very track focused.

What are you running up front? 285/35/20 R888?

Upfront are the stock Pirellis. I am waiting on my Super sports. I put only R888 in rear as I'm going to the track and couldn't wait!! Lol
I orders a set of rear rims so i can simply bolt on and off depending on track.

I was thinking that I read somewhere on this forum that guys that were going over the 305's were also getting the drive train malfunction !

Go 285/35/20 R888 at the front so you don't ruin the stock front tyres from the massive imbalance in grip front to rear
