End of Lease, what's my M6GC really worth?

My lease will be up in August, deciding whether or not to keep my car. What do you think my 2014 M6GC B&O, 19,000 miles, perfect condition, is worth?

KBB doesn't have enough comparable info on this car to give a real number, I can't see going to Carmax with it, I still regret selling my Z06 to them.

I'm the original owner and it's all original other than 3m Crystalline tint on all windows.

Has anyone tried selling it back to BMW prior to end of lease?

.

I guess the best they can do is to pay 1-2k above the residual if your car is in perfect condition, but depends on what you want to do. If you want to trade in your car for another BMW, they may offer you a good price close to pay off amount... this is what they did to me when I traded in my 650i for M6...

Are you wanting to get out of the car prior to August or buy the car at the end of the lease?

First paragraph is aimed at the latter, Carmax wouldn't be you purchasing it to keep, and "selling it back to BMW prior to the end of lease" doesn't make clear sense. BMW owns it already. If you mean a trade-in at a BMW dealer that's a little different.

What's your current payoff amount and the per diem increase?

on BMWFS you have a "payoff" same as any other car.

use KBB, find values, get trade quotes and go down that road. Trade, sell, whatever.

If you got into it with low down/low mile and high payments, you may "owe" more than its value.

At this point (6mo) remaining, even a large customer cap cost reduction won't make up for the realized residual values. IIRC they were at 50/52/53% around Aug 2013 and the values are already there if not below depending on Adjusted Cap Cost.

Trade in - High $50's - mid $60's if there isn't any profit swapping out of a new unit.

Auction - $65-$70k (though someone was wanting M6 Grand Coupe's yesterday and paid through the nose - 1 went for $101k!!!!!!). 6 Speeds have a 8-10% higher avg transaction price than DCT.

KBB puts trade in value at $80k, private party value $82-84k
Residual in August $66k

I'm not sure if I will keep it or not. I love the car, but it spends most of the time in my warehouse. One of my kids will be 16 soon and my insurance will go up over $5k per year. With the little I drive the car, I'm just not sure about keeping it.

SOMETIMES THE LITTLE JOYS YOU KEEP AROUND FOR THE OCCASIONAL NICE DAY IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL!!!

My 2016 M6 was delivered End June 2016 and has 4000 km or so on it and parked in our Garage Nice Warm and Dry since Sept 2016 due to cold and rain here in Victoria BC ... itching to get her out for a nice drive. My 2007 M6 Cab was traded in for the 2016 ... it (the 2007) only had 45,000 Km on it as only driven on nice days ... 8 years of being a garage princess and sunny day tramp ...

But when they do come out ... $hit eating Grin was hard to wash away ... somethings don't make financial Sense ... but ... THEY JUST MAKE SENSE!

Many options ... but there is always a degree of regret deep down when some of these machines are let go ... I still remember the day the 2007 M6 keys were handed over Sept 22 2015 and my dealer drove her away as we waited for the new one to arrive

Many decisions in life ... many memories!

I am very interested to see how you make out!
