New M6 owner

Hello all...

Just picked up a 2014 BMW M6, so far I am rather impressed with the car except a two items:

1st, what is up with the cup holders, my bottles of water fly from side to side in the cup holder and one time ended up at my feet. Any luck with any after market suggestions or some type of insert that every other BMW has out there that grasps the bottles?

2nd, wow can I say these are the hardest seats I have ever sat in, way harder than my M5, does anyone out there share that feeling? Also has anyone done anything to them yet?

Love to hear everyone's opinions....

Attached is the photo of my M6....

Congrats. Lol this forum is full of people that have modded their M6. The seats in the M6 are more sporty than the M5. I like them better for me. Car doesn't feel so fat and sloppy.

The front cup holder on my previous gen M6 was simply too small. In this generation I think they overcompensated and went just a tad too big but I'm sure there are rubber or foam inserts that you can find online. As for the seats I find mine to be very comfortable. I have the Executive Package with the ventilated seats that seem to adjust just about every which way you can imagine, and they are extremely comfortable in my opinion, much more than the ones in my '08 were. I can't really imagine a way to make them more comfortable if you don't like yours other than adding some kind of cushion for it or something.

Hey guys... thanks so much for the feedback.. I have the executive package as well.. maybe I just have to get used to them.

Reguarding the cup holders, when I took delivery of the car, I thought it was missing the insert, like all BMW's have, which is basically a plastic ring with 4 sprung loaded fingers on them which grab your drinks.

Maybe I will just have to purchase big gulps from now on from 7-Eleven

Checked Amazon quickly and found a bunch of rubber inserts for cup holders, most are model specific, but if you can find one that fits snug in the dimensions of your cars standard holder then it may help in securing your drinks more effectively.

If you have Active Seats, they are quite firm. I've found the M6 seats to be the most sensitive to the exact positioning that I've ever had. Once in exactly the correct position they are quite good, if a little firm.

Hiya - Cup Holders - here is the thread that I started on this after experiencing exactly the same issue. These work a treat!

If you have active seats there is a guy on here that replaced the bags with memory foam and said it was a huge difference. If you don't need the massage ( I don't see the need with mine actually) then take out the bladder and add some memory foam.

Congrats on the car!!! Enjoy it.

The seats in my F13 are more firm than my E64, however, much more comfortable than the X5.. JMO.

I agree executive pack is amazing. And I keep finding a new way to adjust my seat everyday.

Thanks for the posts. Compared to the 7 Series... the seats don't adjust as much if you can believe that.... Love the performance, compared to the 7, it is kinda funny, this thing feels small....

Thanks .... Finally getting comfortable with the seats.. However I now found a new problem, I keep looking at the HUD and finding myself doing 130 mph... I guess that is bad
