Refueling
I seem to keep having issues during refueling where the handle clicks off as if the tank is full. during a 3/4 tank fill up it will click off at least 15 times and I have to keep restarting it. The thought of just putting the little latch on is impossible because it will not go more than 2 gallons without clicking off.
Am I the only one experiencing this? |

Same thing happens to me all of the time. Sounds like an issue that a lot of people are experiencing, and not just M6 owners. Didn't get much help after taking mine to the dealership.

Dealership will tell you that it is a problem with the gas pump. I tried.

I'm having the same problem with my 2013 M6. It gets really annoying clicking the pumping and off. How do you think BMW can fix this?

It happens with a lot of cars. The pumps have vacuum pressure sensors that can detect when the placement of the pump is creating suction. If this happens, lifting the pump out slightly will allow you to continue fueling.

I've found that it only happens with certain pumps - to both my F13 650xi and Denali. I just use certain pumps at my usual stations and I don't run into the problem. This is a pretty widespread problem - several threads about it in the F12/13 6er forum alone.

I have had the same issue with my M6 and have found somewhat of a solution that you are going to need to play around with in order to get it to work properly.
When I first had this problem I realized that when you insert the pump into the vehicle, you initially get a certain amount of suction, however, even the slightest movement of the handle, or loss of suction, the sensor kicks in and stops the flow of gasoline. In order to stop this from happening you have to play around with the angle that you insert the pump into your car, and provide a little bit of support with your hand on the underside of the handle. My vehicle is currently in for service right now, when I get it back I will try and get some pictures of what I am talking about as this might seem confusing to some. |

If you frequent the same gas stations, just avoid the pumps that cause this problem. You will waste your time bringing it to the dealer as they will only tell you it's a gas pump problem.
