You say nuts, I say legendary.
That level of holding a grudge should be admired.

this guy is not stupid, he's crazy.
I think he should write up some paragraph telling his story, I think with internet that is the better way.

This psychopath is holding a grudge about a car he bought 9 years ago. Maybe it's time to move on.
At this point, I would say BMW no longer cares. |

They drop like bricks in value over here so I'd imagine it's even more so over there. I'm sure him buying them used is still FAR cheaper than what people lose when buying them brand new and then trading them in when they have issues such as this guy is protesting.

My guess is he's had problems since day one since it started with newer cars. Even still, how many times do we read on these forums and about BMW's reputation on reliability. Sadly we accept it is fact, making jokes about how it's not going to have the reliability of a Honda, yet spending 2-3x as much. I feel sorry for people who buy BMW's brand new, just a huge waste of money.

For a guy that hates bmw's....He buys a lot of them!!!! Kind of weird. I think most people would have moved on to another brand by now...Unless, he secretly knows there is nothing better out there!

If he's so discontent with BMW, why does he keep buying them? If a customer of mine keeps buying my products to destroy, I wouldn't care- I already got my money. "Thank you for your support" is what I'd say.
And what idiot starts a car on fire and stands no more than 30 feet away from it?? |

This guy is awesome. At least he?s publicly trying to make a statement that they can?t ignore (at least at the moment clearly they?ll move on as soon as it?s towed).
Everyone?s just too sensitive these days. Rainbows and hugs and trophies for everyone. These companies are all scam artists and get away with it cuz they?re too big to fail. It?s truly sad. Regardless if we all know it or not it doesn?t make it ok or that it should forever be tolerated. And I?m sure the M6 was his car and the others he clearly bought cheap just to destroy to make a point. Lol I say good for him and keep it up! Hell Berkeley does this (riots and burns cars) just cuz a right wing conservative comes within sight of the campus and we simply call that freedom of speech lol

Used 5's and 7's over there are probably Taurus' and Crown Vic's over here...they're throw away cars once they're like 5+ years old.
My point remains...I'm sure this guy buying used cars and trashing them at auto shows and in front of corporate offices is going to send a stronger message and be noticed (hence why we're talking about it here) vs the average person who'll bitch about it here on forums or go complain to their SA and/or salesman, which falls on def ears unless you've got heavy pockets. Some people "really stick it to the man" by going so far as to get suckered by a salesman to trade-in their broken & depreciating vehicle and believing the salrs pitch "we've fixed those problems in this years newer model"...rinse and repeat. After his M6, he's bought notorious dime a dozen cars because they've depreciated due to their lack of reliability. I've personally had recalls for PCV/CCV, airbags and injectors...who knows how many thousands of dollars that would have cost out of pocket. Should I just swallow those costs and consider it accepted to own a BMW? Hell no, I expect BMW to pay for their shortcomings and hopefully they'll learn that cutting corners or to rush a product out is going to cost them more in the long run. This guy is fighting a fight that could help us all in the long run and instead he's being criticized lol. Other than paying stealership shop rates and bitching to your significant others about how much it costs, what are you doing to hold BMW's feet to the fire?
